Exactly.....I challenge anyone to show me a decent Wingmaster for $200.
Better yet, thread it for Rem chokes. What are people's opinions on converting these fixed choke wing masters to shoot steel?
Debating whether to have a smith a open up a fixed full choke 28" wingmaster barrel to modified or IC so it can handle #BB and #2 steel
Keep dreaming2 - 250 ... its a plain Jane 2.75 30" fixed FC
You got quite the deal on that, congratsPic this up for 250$ a few weeks ago, I did add the +1 , Norinco barrel and sling adapter I had n my parts bin. Also refinished the wood and cut like 1" off the buttstock. Sold the 28" barrel to a buddy for 20$
They can keep those new $1300 POS
Irma Elks Gun show
Pays to show up early. I didnt even haggle the price.
Dreaming? Not me, are you?Keep dreaming![]()
I like this idea, converting it to a jack of all trades. Hope the barrel is thick enough, saw some posts cautioning about it.Better yet, thread it for Rem chokes.
There’s thin wall choke options if it’s not, I’ve gone this route with one barrel that wasn’t able to be threaded for either Rem or Win chokes.I like this idea, converting it to a jack of all trades. Hope the barrel is thick enough, saw some posts cautioning about it.
I would buy every single Wingmaster I could find for $250.Dreaming? Not me, are you?
That's all their worth dude ... they are old plain Janesville
When you factor in inflation or deflation of the purchising power of $300, it's a good buy. $50 bill is the new $20.If a person wants to spend $300 for a field grade non vent ribbed Wingmaster or model 12 they are welcome to it.
I have bought several of each in the last few years, and paid under $300 for any of them.
I use them for loaner guns at our club or sell them for starter shotguns . Let's face it, they are field grade plain Jane shotguns, nothing more.

Last year, I paid about double that for a Win Model 12 - "plain jane" in 12 gauge - but it was made in 1955 - same year that I was. This year, I got a Browning Cynergy Euro Field in 28 gauge - a bit more "fancy" one, I thinkIf a person wants to spend $300 for a field grade non vent ribbed Wingmaster or model 12 they are welcome to it.

I don't understand you, you're not making any sense and appear to be suffering from some sort of confirmation bias? Almost everyone agrees a Wingmaster is worth between $200-$300, and you tear at your clothes. Waterfowler asks for a confirmation, and is provided one...yet you still refuse to acknowledge the demonstrative truth?I would buy every single Wingmaster I could find for $250.
I think you'll find it isn't worth the effort. What are people's opinions on converting these fixed choke wing masters to shoot steel?
