Value of 1970's made 870 Wingmaster 12ga

And the versatility of the 870 platform (likewise the 1100 etc) is that you can swap stock, receiver, and/or barrel readily, so if it's only 2/3rds of the gun you wanted it can quickly change. And maybe there's a particular rare stock or barrel you really wanted, buying a gun that has it may be better than holding out for just the part.

I don't understand you, you're not making any sense and appear to be suffering from some sort of confirmation bias? Almost everyone agrees a Wingmaster is worth between $200-$300, and you tear at your clothes. Waterfowler asks for a confirmation, and is provided one...yet you still refuse to acknowledge the demonstrative truth?

Okay, tell you what, let's find something you can agree with. Wingmasters are worth between $100 and $300...aside from Leg's Wingmasters; those ones are worth between $1K and $3K. :ROFLMAO: Better?
What is it that doesn’t make sense? I don’t think that most agree that a Wingmaster is worth only $2-300, that’s all. If people can still find them for that price then have at ‘er. I’d certainly buy one at that price. You used to be able find them on the used rack at those prices but I’d say that hasn’t been the case for a very long time.
