Value of French MAS

With grenade launcher it would be the more common 36/51.......$400 is too much.

It could have been since I only saw it briefly but I couldn't believe the shape it was in..

Another cast away that showed up at WSS & this one, was the real deal!!! (The only one registered in Canada since they never imported these). It came directly from France with the owner who brought it in, with himself :)

MMMh... I'm not sure it is the real deal: if I recall well, the FR-F1 and following FR-F2 have a much beefier receiver with NO stripper clip cutout.
And the scope mount is very different from what I can see there.

I'll try and fetch some papers I got when I toyed with the idea of making a replica, using a bubbaed Mas-36 receiver.
To me, it looks like a re-creation of the FR-F2, using a MAS-36 receiver.
But then again, I could be wrong...

 well, I guess the Mauser never won a war either..Fritz.
LMAO :D

yeah, in the 20th century there were no wars won by ANY rifle.

What won the wars were
money, power, propaganda, numbers, wheel-to-wheel artilery,
pre-emptive strikes, carpet bombing.

o yeah, blood and courage et al

This was one I sold for $300 a few weeks ago

Wow, that is a beautifull rifle. It looks unissued. I hope the lucky guy who got it appriciates it and gives it a good home. LOL $300. bucks!! What a splendid deal. Not to mention the wack of 7.5 ammo, that went along to sweeten, even further, an already sweet deal!! What a splendid fellow you are, sir.
Pete
PS. Please, don't forget about the M1 mag

???

Looks like the original harmonics-tuning flash hider and barrel. Shroud looks different but it could be the latest one used on some export models.
Still the receiver doesn't look kosher to me: the original ones didn't have the stripper clip thumbcut and dished out side. It looks like a MAS-36 receiver.

that look like an MAS FRG2

The relation of reciver of the MAS36 and the MAS FRF1 or F2 is same realtion betwen in 60's of a 911 Porch with the WW beetle.

Short explanation :

- MAS FRF1 ->7,5 lighweith barrel with harmonic composator (the MAS -GIAT Technologie that you could found in Browning BOSS system), but you could found some FRF1 in 7,62N (Gendarmerie who inculde the GIGN)
- MAS FRF2 ->7,62N you could foun it with wood handguard or the termal handguard
- MAS FRG1 : Special MAS 36 reciver with 7,62N FRF1 barrel and handguard and the have FRG1/FRG2 magazine
- MAS FRG2 : Special MAS 36 reciver with 7,62N FRF2 barrel, handguard and pandular bipod, and the have FRG1/FRG2 magazine
- MAS FRG3 : 7mm08 civil version

At the end of 90's some gunsmiths, have build some gun with part of FRF1 and FRF2 with MAS36 action

Now we all know.

Thanks, SNMP! That solves the riddle once and for all.
Now I know what I can do with my .308 Winchester converted/sporterized MAS-36: put some nice wood on it, install a good scope base and make a nifty deer rifle with it.
À propos, vous êtes de quel coin? ma mère est du Béarn, près de Nay.
