Value of Original k98k Sniper??

Well i did the trade. It was not German. Its a Czech sniper rifle in full military stock.Winter trigger. With the original scope. The scope is (K.Kaps. Wetzlar/Asslar Zieljagd 4x Nr2140.

The onwer told me that he will find the scope mounts for sure. This is a nice rifle. I will up load pics asap.

I am betting this is a very fine rifle you have aquired! The Czechs did things right (very often with German items) postwar. I believe the scope is German, we'd have to see pics if it is wartime or not.
Sorry it was not the find you were looking for, but a Czech sniper rifle is no slouch either! Would love to own one of my own too one day!
Looking forward to the pics:)

There is one at the war museum in Ottawa. Was just in there today. The scope is mounted on the left side, not on top.

Even as a fake for $1000 it would be worth the sum of its parts.

Milarm sold six LSR Sniper Clones a few years ago for $3000 each (I think that was high).

There are many fakes out there and you will almost always pay a premium price for a sniper (fake or legit).

I own a few snipers which I lucked into:
1 x RC ZF41 which I placed an original WWII scope and mount on
1 x ZF41 Bolt MM which I imported fromt the US and placed an original scope/mount
1 x bcd4 LSR Czech refurb, original scope and presently repro mount
1 x CE SSR with original bottom mount but missing top portion of the mount and scope (recently aquired)
1 x SVT40 with notch on top of reciever, still looking for an original mount/scope
1 x M1D Sniper (Everything orignal/matching)
Two of the above rifles came from the US and other than the M1D, they all had their warts and pimples (generally missing the mount/scope). Then again, I paid between $600-1500 for most of the above rifles (again worth the sum of parts). I also used reference books and professional opinons in all of the above purchases.

Sounds like a neat rifle.

A firm over here builds faux snipers using Norwegian Hoime Guard Mausers in 7.62 x 51 and fits repro scopes and mounts from Hungary and Eastern Germany. I think its Thames Valley Guns, not too pricey if you want a look alike!

Looks very nice!

Looks like a Claw Mount, but not a Turret Mount.

Postwar Scope with the rail underneath. Postwar Trigger Guard.

Looks like a Walnut Czech postwar stock. Is it Walnut or Laminated?

What is on receiver and stock for markings/stamps, etc? Any Eagles and WaffenAmts?

No eagles or other markings other than "CESKOSLOVENSKA ZBRO AS BRNO"
1 inch in back of the sight theres a "ML" and then some czech markings

The stock is walnut:D

this is a post war rifle, with civilian mounts, and a post war civilian scope.
I'm thinking $400. for the rifle ,more if it was not drilled and taped .
$150. for the scope on a good day.
