Any particular reason for 416?
This from someone in both bores. Both .....bores, not particular caliber. Any projectile 》》.338 is expensive. 375 projectile and brass is much more common, projectile has many more choices. Cast bullets with trailboss or 4198 is realistic in 375, some smaller jacketed bullets are available. My Rigby is commonly $4/ for x fired brass, but its not for sale.
Realistically life begins at 40, really so does recoil....although un braked my 375 rum was there as well. My first 375 was a H&H in a Interarms Mark X......which is a rebadged Zastava.....cheap, I see them from time to time, accurate, and a big rolling boom as compared to the sharp crack of a 300. Believe the term is recoil velocity....my Rum had both felt ft/lbs and velocity until braked.
Its been my experience that a used non magnum often has lots of use, many magnums have very little. People shoot a box or two, don't like the recoil, it sits for years until sold at a deep discount.
Ramblings.....anyways
