Very Close Call

A real man would have dropped his rifle and wrestled that immature bull to the ground. Kidding of course;-) Is that his wife video taping this? Must be, because my wife never leaves the truck either except to pee and poop.

A couple of years ago the camp next to us got a calf and i asked the guy who shot it if the cow had given him any trouble (they didn't have a cow tag.) He proceeded to tell me how the cow wouldn't leave, he was foolish enough to try to approach it immediately, until he fired several more shots into a tree beside her at distance of about 20 feet. From the way he talked i don't think he any idea the seriousness of the situation he was in.

Gotta admire the guys cool.

However, he puts his rifle down and immediately moves in to make an apparent throat cut while the moose is still kicking a little.Myself, I like to make damn sure the buggers are dead before I put down my rifle and lean over them. I'm just sayin!!

Once I bent over a whitetail that I was sure was dead as the proverbial mackerel and his 125 rack came up and near dislocated my arm. I like to poke them in the eye with my muzzle when I go up to 'em to see if there is any reaction left.

Anyway, you da man Sealhunter! Nice sidestep!

Plaid, jogging pants, baseball cap and sneakers. He probably jumped out of his truck to see how close he could get before being seen. His buddy is most likely sitting in the passenger seat of his F-350 sipping coffee with one hand and filming with the other.
Not the way I hunt, or ever will.

Whatever you do don't enjoy watching the video! Best thing to do is comment in some self righteous manner on how someone else dresses/hunts. God there is one born every minute.:jerkit:

I think the video was pretty damned good myself. I dont know if that guy has kojones or just reacts slowly and lucked out!:D

Agree.Any way you look at it its a hell of a lot more exciting than buying a steak over the counter!!!

Re: Make sure they are dead. I grabbed the antlers of a "dead" deer and he swung them hard, snagging my ring as he did. Damn near ripped my finger off.

I like the idea of poking muzzle in eye first. Thanks.

yes, I flinched as he swept the camera lady - twice.

I wonder if he cycled thata ction after the first shot? I don't think he did. Must have had a lot of confidence in the first shot.

Crazy Video for sure.
It reminds me of one I stumbled across on You Tube as well.
In Norway of there abouts the guy had a dog that was used in the hunt.
Dog chases into bush about 15 yrds and then retreats like mad with angry Bull moose hot on the heels.
Guy with gun shoots moose at it charges by, guy with camera does a great job of catching all on camera as well.
Some people just dont know how seriously it could go wrong in a short little moment in time.
Rob

What’s there to enjoy? A guy sneaking up on a moose when he could have laid back and shot it (even that would have been a bit lame). This video is classic redneck hunter vs wildlife. Nothing new.
If I shot a deer for every time I go hunting and see guys wearing plaid and driving around in their big trucks looking for game and waiting to jump out to shoot them while leaning on their hood, I’d have enough food to feed my whole family for the rest of our lives.

You obviously haven't had enough deer strikes. I rather like the guys that chase the deer away from the grid roads around here.

That video is alot better to watch than some clown wearing a thousand dollar camo suit and bragging about some fork horn shot out of a tree stand.Good for him.
