VG on shotgun - think again!

The bullpup design played the main role in this accident.
This would not have occurred with a VFG on an 18.5" or longer barreled standard shotgun design.
Not the bullpup design per se, but rather that the muzzle was so close the pump. Other short-barrelled shotguns are susceptible to the same problem.

It could happen on any short barrel shot gun i.e a Grizzly. The Magpul XTM hand stop would work for the KSG since it has a bottom rail

It's probably from how crunchy the slide. Having to rack it forward that aggressively isnt helping. Hope the guy is doing "better". I guess that's what God made handguns for, one handed gun enthusiasts. Too soon?
