Looks pretty cool very similar to a FAMAS, according to Wikipedia they sell for 1000€ witch isn't to far from the type 97 but then again that's from Wikipedia

I'm assuming that price would be for the select-fire version. A semi-auto one would likely cost more.

Any chance you can get pricing for the select fire version? I would be interested in a few if they weren't outrageously priced.

What are you, Military? Police? I'm pretty sure that new Prohibs are not allowed to be imported and registered, and by that, you would have to be a procurement officer for an official Military or Law Enforcement unit to get one. Or, a specially licensed dealer who sells to either of the aforementioned groups.

Well I have been doing a little research. According to Wikipedia the rifle operates through a "'tappet' type of closed gas system much like the FN SCAR".

I believe the FN SCAR is still under consideration by the RCMP. If you have updated news please chime in.

In addition their value is about 1800 - 2000 Canadian dollars.

I think we will not see them any time soon unless they develop a special operating system for these rifles.

It is very very sad.

I was under the impression that the SCAR system was prohibited by the RCMP after the attempts by (sorry for mentioning other dealers) Questar and IRUNGUNS

Thanks for the concern and the tutorial but I'm good, not everyone here is a newb, there are many walks of life on this site not just PAL and RPAL holders. My question to TI still stands. Thanks tootall you are correct.

Why is everything like this so bloody expensive, the famae guns are awesome and i want some but damn they are pricey.

Hey tactical imports! Can you find us a 9mm or .45 smg for under a grand ?

Cheers, McLean

Most of the guns we sell are military grade and in use by multiple militaries and law enforcement agencies. Non-surplus military guns are expensive unfortunately. Your paying for the quality, durability and reliability. If you have any ideas for military grade firearms nobody is brining in then we're all ears.

Hummm... the more I look at it, the more it looks like a bullpup without the advantages of a bullpup... namely there looks to be about 6-8" of wasted space at the back of the gun, plus tons of extra weight in unneeded quad rails and integrated handles....

I'll wait till the final product.

How about the "new" M1 Carbines in 9mm? :)

Proven design, classic looks, comes in both wood and synthetic, well under $1000 and would make a nice "plinker" to add to your library of guns and gear? :)

You read my mind. Plus I never liked the charging handle under the carry handle (like the type 97) and not a fan of the tavor charging handle. ..to me the gun looks to busy to long and to heavy for a bullpup... if it would be reliable, accurate, non restricted and under a grand id be interested; )
