If the Afghan Army and government had even 10% of the fighting spirit the Ukraine Defense Forces have the Taliban would not have rolled them up in less then two weeks. Further, if the Ukraine Defense Forces had everything the Americans (and NATO) lavished on Afghanistan over the course of twenty years I doubt Russia would have made its play on Ukraine.
