Video of the day

Yes it was ... and the communist goals (at the time) were to make those same countries their toy boxes. As the Chinese are currently doing around the world.

That is all too true. I read a number of texts which mentioned Soviet aspirations in Africa. Of course the info is something you have to actively look for. Cuba was quite active in Africa too.

Pilots who have wondered about a forced landing will enjoy this video.

I used to fly around in a single engine plane, at night, over rough terrain. The procedure for a forced landing at night was to descend to 100 feet above the ground and turn on the landing light. If you don't like what you see - turn off the light.

^^ Must have been a lot of crew menbers willing to man the guns in the two pusher prop engine nacelles during the testing programs..........f:P:

That a/c had a 16.6% loss rate. Only twelve ever built.

Guns at Batasi is an amazing movie. Richard Attenborough spent months at a local barracks studying NCO's and the RSM.

A great mix of the SMG, FAL, Lee Enfields, and Bren guns...

Yeah, he epitomizes the British RSM in all respects!

Why would a soldier rather appear before God than the RSM? Because God would have mercy .....
