Its kinda funny. The same thing happened to me. But since I was able to avoid the vehicle that cut me off, there was no collision with the other vehicle. My insurance company ruled that I was at fault, even though an off duty police officer witnessed the entire accident.

Britain, here he'd have charged with careless driving and a couple of hundred dollar fine.

A similar almost war smouldered in Post WWII Belgium but it was deliberately kept low key - why?

In this podcast, a commentators voice says Italy in the modern era is one of the very few Western European countries that did not have a terrible bombing, barring the Bologna bombing.

The IJzerbedevaart (Yser Pilgrimmage) in July 1977. The tower you can see is the second one built in the aftermath of the terrorist bombing of the original Yser Tower. The monument commemorates Belgians who were killed in World War I (corrected on July 1, 2026)

Not sure what the seaside resort is. Maybe Ostende?
