As most of you know, I wear a number of hats in IPSC, but that's not because I'm particularly smart. It's just that I have a large head and a matching nose.#

I've been able to increasingly take on so many different responsibilities, especially in recent years, because I'm semi-retired, so I have the time to be responsive. I also love our confederation with a passion, so it gives me great personal satisfaction being able to spend so much time on my hobby.
#
However, I expect things are about to change for me in my personal life. I'm trying to embark on a new project (don't ask!) and, if it comes to fruition, it will somewhat divert my attention away from IPSC and put considerable strain on my last remaining family brain cell.#
#
I therefore need to give up one or more of my duties in IPSC. After a careful review of my current portfolio, it seems the best option is for me to stand-down as IPSC Secretary, a position I've been honoured to hold continuously for 13 years (2001-2013).
#
The position of IPSC Secretary has gone from being one primarily related to the IPSC Assembly to being a much larger beast. My other duty as IPSC Regional Development Director (to help establish new regions, and to assist the IPSC President to troubleshoot existing regions), gradually melded with being IPSC Secretary, and the unintentionally combined post now requires considerably more time.

Your new IPSC Secretary is Dimitri Tzimas#from IPSC Greece who, as you know, is also IPSC Executive Director and IPSC Shotgun Rules Director. I sincerely hope that Dimitri gets as much personal satisfaction as I have serving our members and our organisation, and I wish him every success.#

Obviously Dimitri will henceforth deal with questions arising here and elsewhere regarding #the IPSC Constitution, the IPSC Assembly and related IPSC Administrative matters, but I am always available if he needs any guidance or assistance. Or Prozac.

I will continue to hold my other key IPSC positions, namely IPSC Competition Director (handling all Level IV and V matches), IPSC Handgun Rules Director (which includes the related approvals of Production Division guns), and Managing Editor of IPSC World Magazine.
#
I will also continue to handle "my baby", the IPSC Patron Program.
#
I will also remain as an Admin of the Global Village (another "baby"!), but IPSC Media Director Marco Hernandez (as an additional Admin) will be the guy who processes most of the new registrations and back-of-house items (a labourious task), while I will try to limit myself to primarily dealing with handgun rules questions.
#
And, before the rumour mill starts spluttering nonsense, let me state categorically that there are no intrigues or hidden agendas at play here.
#
I continue to give my full, unconditional support to our fearless leader, IPSC President Nick Alexakos who has been, and who remains, an outstanding leader dedicated to the further growth and development of IPSC. I continue to share his vision, and I remain at his service whenever and wherever he needs me.
