With long eye relief, a fast-focus eyepiece, fully multi-coated lenses and resettable MOA turrets, there's no compromising on the Crossfire II. Clear, tough and bright, this riflescope hands other value-priced riflescopes their hat.
Or maybe not.

Leupold sucks aside from their mark 6 and 8 lines. consumer grade slap together junk. Sad really, they used to be the benchmark for hunting/general use optics.
Your buddies "warranty" from vortex is called marketing. It got you to buy their brand and likely your buddy for life. Doesn't matter they over charge and find it more cost effective to replace over repair(that's called a clue)their optics. Sure, they're great disposable optics with lifetime replacement. Walmart offers the same policy on all their "goods".

I also hate Vortex, They sell a warranty.
I have owned a SPARC, it would drain the battery on its own. Sold NIB after RMA
I have owned Vortex PST 1-4, Purchased from SFRC , 1st range trip the reticle wouldn't work. Or turned on and off from shooting. ( SFRC left me hanging and straight out told me to sent it to Vortex and wouldn't exchange ) Sold NIB after RMA
Sold my Viper PST 16X right after just in case. lol...
Purchased a Sightron and haven't looked back.... Glass is nicer and it just plain works...
They left a bad taste in my mouth, But If I didn't have bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all...
Seems like Im that guy that gets stuck with lemonds...
Please tell us which vortex models you have owned and how many.... and tell us of all your bad experiences..... and tell us how "walmart" honors a warranty for life without receipt to anyone who owns the item purchased for eternity..... (or of another scope manufacturer that does that for that matter....
Some people (including me) dislike glocks... mass produced polymer handguns with crappy sites..... but you seem to enjoy them.... so good for you......
Very interested to see your vast vortex experience....
SO you have never owned one and you know a guy.... gotcha....
How many Glocks have you owned? How many quality optics have you owned/used? Right, Gotcha...
I've also never eaten dog sh*t or been shot, but I'm confident that neither are activities I wish to experience.
As I said, buy all the junk you want, its your money and I don't care what you do with it. Just don't whine about poor performance or pretend your low end gear is better than it is, its not.

Glocks owned equals one.... it was enough.... just not my thing.... very reliable but not built for accuracy and hated the feel of it....
I have had quite a few quality optics.... mostly zeiss.... I liked them.... but my experience with vortex has lead me away from spendi g all that money on something when I can get something serviceabe and dependable at half the price.... ymmv
Don't wish to sound like a prick, but I bet you couldn't shoot that Glock for sh*t, hence your dislike for them. As for optics, my experience and that of shooters who shoot a lot more than you and I do, all choose to run better products. A Hyundai is a serviceable car, but I bet you'd take a BMW over a Hyundai if you had the choice.

Very content with my Vortex Crossfire II 6-24. Been mounted on 308 for over a year with hundreds of rounds hard hitting handloads down the pipe.
Tracks well, glass is very clear except close range upper magnification (I'm ok with that as it was a sub $300 purchase price).
Hate on them all you want. My experience has thus far been great. Considering a Vortex Venom Reddot as an alternative to Trijicon RM06 because of how happy I am with cheapy crossfire.
Add me to the not ALWAYS believing you get what you pay for list.
