If cool looking features are all you want then why not save some money and buy leapers, or nc star? They all have the same features, looks and fall apart just as often. If quality optics is what you want, well... Then you better put your money where your mouth is. Plain and simple there is no free lunch with optics. If you want good you have to pay for it. Getting the same features as Nightforce does not mean getting a Nightforce for half price. Look through both at 500 yds, make adjustments at long range and try going years without a change in performance or complete failure. All the money you would have spent on cheap scopes would be more than a good one. Hell for the same price as a Vortex FFP you can get a Sightron that whoops its ass all day long! Vortex seem to be what the newbies flock to cos they got all the features, the looks and what not but cost less. I can't afford cheap scopes anymore.

Well the Elite line from Bushnell isn't really low-end. That scope I linked to is made in Japan which is where the "high end" Vortex Razor are made that start at around $1700.
The mid range stuff from Vortex is made in the Philippines and grossly overpriced. The Chinese made Vortex are so overpriced I almost pissed my pants when I heard people bought them.
