Vortex Warrantee Experience

They should have good service, because most people I know who has tried vortex optics have needed warranty work.

I have long said that Vortex has the best warrantee in te business, and you will definitely use it. That's why I use Leupold exclusively.

I've had some Vortex products. Never again. It's the best warranty that you will definitely need.

^ You read lots of negative because its the same people all the time constantly bashing them, sure they are going to have more returns, they sell more then any other company except maybe Bushnell? but I've returned a few Bushnells myself.

^I've read this sentiment dozens of times, and always think the same thing; "When people bought their Vortex, they always had the option of buying Leupold instead". .

For under $2000 I can't buy a Leupold... As far as I can see in their product line in the sub $2K market they simply don't make a product that comes close to competing with others like Vortex, Athlon etc as far as scope function goes. FFP, exposed 10MIL rev turrets with a good MIL reticle in 5-15, 5-25 doesn't exist.

I've read several threads about Vortex optics on this site over the years. I already gave my 2 cents worth, but felt compelled to state the obvious. If you don't like the Vortex line of optics, don't buy any! I've had bad experience over 55 yrs. of shooting with Bushnell, Nikon, Leupold, when something failed in their optics. Some warranties were honoured with less hassle than others. I personally have several Vortex, a Leupold, a couple of Redfields, and a Simmons. All work just fine and I've had the Leupold for near on 25 yrs.

I havent had any problems with Vortex but Ive not any experience with the lowest models. See lots of Diamondback Tacticals used in different types of rimfire competitions and never seen anybody having a problem. I did see Vortex supporting the matches and providing prizes at every match across Canada. Well Im sure there will be some negative comment on why they do such things. Its honest to speak from experience of actually owning a product before running it down.

I love the Vortex Warranty and that is why I keep going back. Had a pair of binos where there was an issue and no questions asked and a new pair was sent back.

As much as they get trashed for their Chinese lines, Vortex does make top tier stuff too that is covered by the same warranty.
I bought a used AMG 6-24 from a vendor on this site. It showed up with a couple of specks on the inside of the ocular lense. Sent it in for warranty and you guessed it, brand new one at the door. They even said in the report that it had been over tightened. $4k scope made in the US.

That it's been overtightened is why they say all their scopes failed. Lol ;)

There was a member on here who used a very expensive precision torque driver to install theirs to 15in/lbs and when it failed vortex gave the same line.

I've often wondered if their scope tubes are thinner than other brands.

I really have no idea what happened to it. It didn’t have excessive ring marks and wasn’t distorted at all. The AMG 6-24 is a lightweight scope though. It’s only a 30mm tube but still has a decent amount of adjustment available. I would think it would be fairly thin.
I’m willing to bet that it would be difficult to crush a razor hd tube.
I do have a diamondback on a hunting rifle and it seems ok. Nothing really noteworthy. Honestly, I try to avoid the Philippines and china stuff. After using high end optics from vortex and others, the fit/finish and general quality disappoints. Same goes for all brands though.
Red dots are the same. I’ve sent a couple of outsourced vortex red dots in for replacement. The AMG sight on the other hand was a beast! Both in weight and quality…

My good fortune with excellent service continues.

I called Century International(in Montreal) to get the correct screws to mount my new Vortex red dot.

I was expecting an envelope in the mail. Today a box the size of two loaves of bread arrived.

Inside were two sets of screws (in case I buggered one up) plus 2 very nice hats.

The Canik is my favourite pistol and I am delighted to see that it is supported by a real first-class distributor.

The end result is IT DIDNT matter. You received a new one even though you were not the original owner and didnt know what caused the damage. Im curious to know if MALICE has ever actually owned an AMG or Razor? Im guessing no and upping his post count and jumping on the HE MAN VORTEX HATERS CLUB. Well good on you BUCKWHEAT. I heard a member on here BLAH BLAH BLAH. All hearsay with no proof. Ever looked on the EE and seen how many have SLIGHT RING MARKS or JUST a noticeable pinch. We are the makers of our own demise. Uneducated people will ruin the best scopes in the world through pure stupidity. Buy quality mounts and get a good inch pound torque limiterFIX IT STIKS or whatever. End of dented tubes or SLIGHT PINCH only visible on the bottom whatever. Actually own and have experience with products before speaking like you know anything when all you do is comment, I Heard this. GETS really tiring
