Vtac?

Vtac MkII sling has some noticeable improvements over the original, of which I'm actually using with my DSLR. I showed it to the Vtac rep at SHOT and they thought it was a neat idea too.

I also have the VCAS sling with metal hardware and I use it when matches allow for it.

I can't say I prefer one over the other, they're both top quality slings IMO.

If I'm not mistaken this is a vtac sling.

The sling on the UBL 416 is a London Bridge copy of a VTAC - the VTAC itself is derived from the Alice rucksack strap ; in addition Eagle Ind. had a version of an Alice rucksack strap sling out before anyone including VTAC - many people are unaware of this because VTAC has done a far better job of marketing their sling than Eagle ever did

Going back to the One Shot Tactical offer from Darren - I'll throw in some Vickers swag ( stickers and patches ) if the OP keeps the sling and pays the invoice

Just email me at Larry@vickerstactical.com once the dust settles and I'll get the swag sent your way

I'm proud to have One Shot Tactical selling my sling !!! Keep up the good work !!!

There ya have it right from the mans keyboard! Bought my padded Vickers sling from OST and I haven't looked back. One day, Mr. Vickers I will get out to OST for one of your visits, one day.......

*disclaimer* I have NEVER been paid or have recieved payment from OST or been in the employ of OST, but Farmboy and the folks at OST are my go to crew when I need something!!

Spoken for truth. I have been using a vcas for almost 2 years courtesy of farmboy and I admit its a much simpler and robust system than a vtac. That's not to say a vtac is junk, its just not as refined asd a vcas.

Farmboy: pm inbound shortly regarding the sling

Don't tell us you kept the sling for 2 years but didn't pay Darren/OSTS for it???????? And now LAV himself is offering to send you swag? What crazy world is this????

The deal was to give the sling a go, if I like it I buy it, if I don't I keep it anyway. I like the sling a lot, so I'm buying it. OST/Darren is solid and a pleasure to do business with..

Glad to hear your 2 year trial was a positive one.

In all fairness the 'trial" took longer than expected due to unforeseen cicumstances that kept me from shooting as much as I wanted(or needed?) to. I tried to dislike the sling as I was content with my VTAC, but I couldn't find anything to dislike about it. I've been almost abusive in how I treated the sling and it still looks great. A quick hand wash took the dirt and mud right off and the buckle is great for adjustment, simple to use and holds fast.

I've used both extensively, and gotta admit that I prefer the VTAC, and still have several of each. Having said that, if I couldn't have a VTAC, the sling I would want is a VCAS. The VCAS slings we use at work all have the metal buckles, and they are all a ##### to adjust on the fly. Most of the pics of LAV that I see look like he's running the synthetic buckle, maybe that doesn't bind as much as the metal buckle?

I find my VTAC bungy sling is the most "workspace friendly" two-point sling I have used to date.
