That probably had more to do with the receivers they were built on (converted auto) than anything else. VZ pistols would be fantastic, especially if they were "commonly available".Wasn't those ''VZ pistols'' part of Marstar's shipment that was reclassified from restricted to PROHIBITED last summer ?

Ceska Zbrojovka manufactured new receivers and new barrels specifically for the Canadian market. It is not a stretch for them to make a stockless short barrelled variant with new magazines. The catch is whether the market is there, but given the amount of VZ-58s in the country and thirst for lawful ten round mags, I strongly suspect it is.If it uses 858 mags, then it will be limited to 5 rounds still. Surplus mags will not be able to be used, and new expensive ones will have to be made, which will hamper making it 'commonly available'
Any Idea what 7.62x39 would be like though a pistol? Definitely want that at arms length, nowhere near the face anyway.
