Q: Considering this monster thread, what do you think of the VZ-58 type rifle?

I've seen on another board, that Century Arms is now importing an American legal version of the Vz58. I think it's pretty.........Pretty FUGLY.:dancingbanana: What do you think....Oh yeah its the one in the top of this picture.

Those clear mags look pretty cool but are pretty useless when you can only have 5 rounds. Its not too bad considering some of the ugliness of seen to avoid US laws. Is that thing on the muzzle welded on to extend the bbl length?

Looks like wolverine got to that poor VZ on the bottom :(

The mags are 10 round, single stack. The receiver is machined in such a way that it will only take these 10 round mags.

The extension is welded onto the threaded end.

The ugly stock set is also standard. From what I understand very few of the parts are interchangable with our Vz and Cz rifles.

But that's okay by me......you couldn't give me one of those. Where is the puke icon???
 
Well the bottom one is a torch cut 58, and the top one is interesting. I like the stock, particularly the forestock. There is no need for that kind of buttstock since the "crime" bill expired.

I like the clear mags a lot. I would photocopy some stacked rounds and paste the paper inside it so it "looks" 20ish even though it isn't. Make a Lib snakey. :runaway:

Man, this place is amazing. Before I joined up here, I didn't even know of the existence of the VZ-58, and since I got mine and have been reading this thread, I've found out it's been used in movies and video games. COOOOOL! :D

I really love the VZ-58, and one day I hope to have an AK to keep her company! :D :D :D :D
