VZ-58s and more...FAQs are Post 1

Q: Considering this monster thread, what do you think of the VZ-58 type rifle?

  • It is a beauty as it comes, and a must have, since it drives Libs bonkers.

  • It is best pimped out and dressed up, a far cry from an NDP convention.

    Votes: 408 19.0%
  • It is true it was the first cool gun in the Cdn. market for a long while, but I'll pass.

    Votes: 166 7.7%
  • It makes me think of snide remarks, as I am a gun snob and the 58 is affordable.

Shooting wise? Excellent . I love the fact that the red dot is very small. 1 moa I think
It's a tough sight. It includes 4 different reticles. I shot indoors and outdoors, in sun and shade.
The reticle was always clearly visible

Cool ....thanks for the info and the picture.....definitely one to get.

PK-AS is cool as well

This time we'll take Deckard too.
It will be his chance to deny all those allegations
that say he isn't a real person
(but a virus produced by a computer program which run astray:runaway: ).
:D

Some truth in that. I am a glorified 58 search engine, but since I don't submit the most pix anymore.......

I totally didn't vote in one of the old polls. That makes me either really late, or really awesome.

It's the latter though, because I've never actually shot one. So I didn't participate in the feeding problems poll.

A couple of pics of my 858 with an Infratek folder and grip, Wolverine muzzle brake, and my 'shade tree' scout mount, using a rail for a Benelli R1 stuck on the stock gas sytem cover using some expoxy and sheet metal screws.
I have a VZ58 ' inbound', and intend to give it the same 'treatment'...
I guess it will be a little 'handier' due to the overall shorter length.....
