Q: Considering this monster thread, what do you think of the VZ-58 type rifle?

  • It is a beauty as it comes, and a must have, since it drives Libs bonkers.

I heard from a reliable source that Dlask will be producing the ar-15 stock adapters that eliminate the downward tilt of the factory stock, I've been waiting for something 1 piece to come onto the market to try...Apparently this month or next. If someone from Dlask is reading this, a nice smooth adapter like the one below would be appreciated. (I copied this picture location from an American webpage)

mmm...sorry big shooter, but I think Kanada Post is closed tomorrow...Long weekend. As for me I just found my stock adapter from Stormwerks, only one bolt req'd to hold it in place :D

I'm not from Dlask, but I doubt they have anything like that in their books.

does any one know if the new batch of 858's comming in has the infamous gremlin??? im really debating whether to get one... ive heard of getting an updated bolt carrier to fix this also?

Ukie,
Those 858's overall are a great rifle. Even if you have a gremlin (which is not too often from what I've read) it is not too difficult to fix, and worth the effort to correct. Besides that, it's part of your Eastern European heritage, so you must get one.

im not concern with the gremlin , i have 2 CZ858 and will deal with it if and when it arises . actually i will be buying restricted one soon.
 
I bought mine used and brought it to the range yesterday. I shot 120 rounds through it without any problems. At 100m I could hit a 3'' plastic skull I found lying around. Beer cans were no problem at around 125. I used a 4 MOA red dot on a rear side mount.
For someone who was used to shooting an SKS for the last few years, this was a real treat. Definitely recommended.
