Q: Considering this monster thread, what do you think of the VZ-58 type rifle?

Yes, CZ mags a rivit pinned and are better quality than ak mags. I own both a CZ 858 and an SKS. The only things the SKS has over the CZ is price and the fact there are alot more accesories availible for the SKS. Other than that the CZ kicks the SKS's a$$ in everything.
 
If you decide on an 858 you had better do it with a fair amount of haste, they seem to be selling fast. My local dealer was sold out within a week of getting his delivery.
 
So you think you cant get it after the election and are waiting for after the election to get it?

I dont know why anyone would think the election has anything to do with the 858-2 or the 180B etc.

Well I don`t have much faith or trust in our government but I do believe you only live once. So I just bought one 4 hours ago, I`m under the impression that their is not too many of these unrestricted models left so I thought I better move fast. Just hope the government lets me keep it for awhile.

My 858

I also just ordered one... and I also hope that I can enjoy it for a while. Along with my other semi-auto center fires.....

I think that the hand guns are the problem not semi-auto center fires.... but they might be shot at next.... HAHA (laughing at my own joke).

My 858 should be here this week.... ordered it Friday from P&D. Edmonton -> Calgary should not take that long....

I can hardly wait.... I will have to run out ASAP and have LOTS of fun with it!!!!!!!! Might even take it to work......

PS - As I look through this thread I notice that Checkoslovakia not only has nice firearms, they really do have ALOT of chicks with nice guns.....

original Sa vz. 58V

in semiauto only mode with three weaver rails /upper rail is done to "see-through" for mechanical sights/ on metal upper handguard with OKO and light and GP muzzle brake and bipod from set Sa vz. 58 Pi and shortened mag for 10 rounds.

Where did you get the rail from, if I may ask?
Or even the manufacturer would be nice since I really don't feel like making a rail.
Only if I have to, only then.
