Is this a picture thread or an info thread... i have seen alot of pics of the 58 here and they look pretty much the same. In my opinion, unless there is something distinctive about a 58 in a pic keep it on your own computer. I can search google pictures just as easy as you can.

I just had a notion.... does anyone have a technical drawing with measurements and such of an optics mount? My dad's a machinist with milling experience (he's been in the biz for 30 years) and I'm pretty sure if I were to supply the drawing and pay for the material, he could cut it.
 
How much would it cost for a new upper hand guard? Could you not just attach a rail to the actual wooden hand guard then put on any signt you wanted? Heck, if all the other companies are doing is using pliers to tighten up the end of the handguard, I can do that at home in 30 seconds.
