I have a CZ-858-T2 with only about 200 rounds through it, and it's had the Gremlin from the get go. Wolverine very graciously, not to mention very rapidly, mailed me a replacement carrier and disconnecter. I don't know if it's fixed now, because I just haven't had the time to try it.
I believe that the Gremlin in mine occurred only when I squeezed the trigger ever so slowly, that it just wasn't far enough backwards after tripping the sear, for the disconnecter to work properly.
I say this because every time I pulled the trigger smartly, it would just trip the sear and continue backwards far enough for the disconnecter to do its job. So I never experienced the Gremlin when double tapping, only when deliberately bench-resting the rifle. This is also why I believe some have reported curing the Gremlin by increasing (bending upwards) the sear spring, thereby increasing the trigger pull weight. This simply causes the trigger to snap backwards past a critical point, after tripping the sear, every time you fire the rifle allowing the disconnecter to work properly. So I not only swapped the parts that Wolverine sent me, but also increased the trigger pull a little. We’ll see if that does the trick, if I ever get to try it.
This is such a silly problem, though! It's so easy to fix that I just don't get why CZ hasn't started modifying the carriers themselves to avoid it. Just weld a darn tab, like they do in the US, to allow the disconnecter the little extra time it needs to do its job.
Oh well, if the replacement carrier and disconnecter don't work out, I'll just have that tab welded myself. I won't stand not using such a nice rifle for such a silly problem.
