VZ58 223 slam Fire F'N out of control rifle

The OP bought a used rifle -- it's a bit difficult to blame CSA for his rifle when the rifle's history is pretty much an unknown. It could have been a lemon from the factory or the rifle's problems could be due to poor maintenance. No one, outside of the original owner I suppose, knows.

CSA is still willing to service these rifles under warranty (extended the coverage I believe), due to the amount of problems they have had. OP should contact North Sylva and I'm certain he'll see that there will be no charge for fixing it.

There is always a large number of people circle jerking on threads of .223 Vz 58's failing.

Mine failed and had to send it to Movie Arms. From Tofino - Toronto it took 3 weeks from shipping, gun fixed, and gun back to me. Its had over 2000 rounds though it since then and its never had an issue. Its my favorite tactical rifle out of what I've got.

I have a CSA rifle in .223, bought new from Wolverine. It never worked properly with torn cartridge rims and stuck cases in the chamber and FTE. Off it went to Movie Armaments for warranty work who turned it over to North Sylva. I received the rifle back with a page of measurements of piston size, headspace before and after test firing and the diameter of the gas port. They claimed they fired 40 rounds of several brands with no problem. I took the rifle out for testing it on my own with Norinco .223 and Federal American Eagle factory loads. The gun functions perfectly as a single shot because the case remains in the chamber but it can then be removed by fingernail alone. I checked the extractor tension and looks O.K. So, unless in the East the gun works fine but in the West it becomes a single shot, there's something fishy.....
