VZ58 bolt carrier tapping

My problem with the first fix is that it increases trigger pull weight and I feel the pull on mine is already as heavy as I want it to be and then some.

As for the second one, I can say that the trigger on mine does not move sideways at all. I know, I've tried to make it "walk" intentionally, but it just doesn't do it.

Now, if only we could legally have that missing part... :runaway:

Thanks for you answer!

There are 2 other ways I know of.

Then there is another way that has to do with a washer placed in the excess space were your trigger cut out is on the reciever. I noticed on 1 that I had that the trigger would do this "Walking" motion if I was to hold down on the trigger while cycling the action then tring to ride it out to press it again. This prevented it from moving farther to the left and thus took care of the problem. Although I do believe that this might be mistaken for the "gremilin" but instead is a lack from Q/C.

Now the reason why this happens to the 858. I blame it soley on the "striker fire" design system on this rifle that had a very important saftey feature that was removed in order to only be able to shoot semi instead of full auto. Here is what the sear part should look like and with out getting into to much detail. I soley blame the "gremilin" on the lack of this part.

Everything Satain just said.

I had the gremlin. After sending to Wolverine, having bolt carrier tabbed etc... It was not fixed.

That leaf spring discussed above - there are two - one was for the AUTO sear me thinks. That block on the right is welded into the receiver in the place where the AUTO stuff used to go.

Oh, so you're saying that the tab does not cure the Gremlin?

I have never heard of the US vz58's with tabbed carriers having the Gremlin. Interesting!
