I might have misinterpreted what I've read but is the Robinson Armament XCR in .223 a f***in' unrestricted rifle?

Also, is Wolverine Supplies the only company that sells them and is the price still 2200ish?

Yes, the long barrel ones in Canada are unrestricted and you can get caliber exchange kits for around 1k too. 6.8 and 7.62x39.

Well I know what I am buying now. F*** its obvious any black rifle lover in Canada should be all over the XCR.

Yep, you're late to notice, but not too late to join the group. My XCR is great and for a non-restricted it was worth the cost (other people might argue differently). Haven't had a single problem with mine through the 1000 rounds I've put through it. I recommend it.

I am seriously thinking about selling my 11.5 inch AR to buy this gun.
I held one in 7.62x39 today and i thought it was balanced well.

The XCR is also sold by other dealers besides wolverine. I jumped the line by asking Wolverine if they sold to dealers and which ones. I called a couple of them, found one that wasn't pre-sold, bought it from them. Best purchase ever.

Does anyone actually take their XCR anywhere other than the range? So what if it's unrestricted? So is my Tikka, Savage, SKS, Walther & Remington, but they never go anywhere but the range. My Marlin lever goes in the bush. $2200ish seems like quite a premium just to say "yea, but it's unrestricted"
I'm just curious - I've never seen anyone hunt with their AR180 either.

Yeah, I take my rifles out in a friend's field. I don't see the big deal about a gun you can only take to a range. That's why I'll never buy an AR or other restricted rifle. Pistol maybe, those are special :p

I hate going to ranges (I don't like stoppages or dealing with jackasses). So yes, I love taking rifles out to the bush. :D

I bought my OD green XCR in 223 specifically for hunting predators and gophers... :D

The conversion kits are appr $700.00 not $1K...

Robinson Arms is also working on a 6X45 chambered conversion which is only a barrel to convert over from 223 everything else is the same, the cartridge is 223 brass necked up to 6mm/.243" cal so will be even less money to convert and a very easy cartridge to load for.

I feel this is the round that the US military should have adopted and I will be adding a barrel as soon as it is available as long as it is in a 1 - 9.5" or 10" twist rate I will load it for predator/deer hunting...

Hey Terra... if you want a Canadian to help test these barrels and develope loads I will definitely help RA's out... :D
