Walking Dead Fail !

OP, don't worry this fail has been reported on quite extensively already. Probably about 15 minutes after the scene aired in fact. But yes, somebody was clearly not paying attention when they put that ar out.

Yes I noticed this as well, wow no rear sight. Its just a show but attention to detail is what keeps you into the environment. Its like when someone is escaping and knocks out a guard and they don't take his weapon. Who would do this ???? Its funny how we notice the safety violations and other firearms nonsense; guess it shows we are into our subject matter 24/7, you just don't turn it off.

Love to watch the show anyway; hope they sharpen up on these obvious really silly mistakes.

Are shooting techniques the only issue? I am always amazed at how clean they always are.A little blood spray once in a while but mostly they don't sweat up their shirts or hatbands. No sweaty grimy faces. The girls can maintain a level of makeup.

try watching the first episode. the deputy turns the safty off on his glock handgun by flicking his thumb over the slide release.

I've been trying to figure out what they made their suppressors from, they seem to be mag flash lights jammed on the ends through the light socket opening.

Yea, the show does favour dramatic licence over 100% realistic gun action, but it's still quite good, and lots of fun.

This guy is so good you just can't see it. How can a rag-tag pack of survivors ambush a well-equipped squad of US National Guardsmen without taking a single casualty? They can do it because they can shoot offhand without sights or a proper cheek weld or even ammunition - that's why. The Gov and his guys shoot so well they can shoot from the hip out to 200 yards - never miss. In fact, just to be a survivor in season 3 you have to be able to double tap a revolver through a chain link fence and get 2 separate headshots at 30 yards. To be a survivor in season 2 you have to be able to reload your weapon so fast that the human eye can't detect that you've done it. To be a survivor in season 1 you have to be able to pack around 25 000 rounds of ammunition in you watch pocket...

No firearms fail here, my friends you just need to practice more.

Well said

Just for a thought...

I take a rifle, say an AR-15 off a dead guard, because I want to arm myself with a firearm instead of just a knife. It happens to not have any sight on it. WTF knows why, broke off when the guard fell on it, expert trick shooter, WTF CARES.

It is a TV show. Check brain at kitchen counter because the only time you need it is when you are hungry and looking for snacks.

I'm happy when I see shell casings being ejected from guns for realism... Opposed to whole cartridges in flight, AR's w/o buffer tubes, reams of ammo w/o primers, reloading after 4x ammo capacity if at all, car doors and such being bullet barriers.

Watching TV Show Checklist:
1. Guns involved? Check!
2. Shoot stuff and it dies or goes boom? Check!

You notice that plot and realism are not in that checklist...

NOT just the WD!!!
Why does Wyle E. Coyote appear in the VERY NEXT scene after getting blown up by an Acme Bomb, which blew him off the cliff 1000 feet down onto the road where a semi Truck drives over him.
HMMMM. kinda makes you question the realism and the integrity of the writers and producers. .
:)
Come to think of it....Why do some Zombies stagger slowly while other Zombies in other educational films can RUN.
I guess there's just more than one type of ZOMBIFACATION:stirthepot2:

That's not so weird, the Governor knows that rear sights are for pussies. Real men don't need 'em. I took the rear sights off all my guns so I could rock like the Governor.:p:cool:
