Peterborough Walmart has a small selection of ammo.

Peterborough and Oshawa across from the new movie theatre sells them. Only Winchester, though. Nice place to stock up on .22's, but that's about it. They carry bricks of ,22LR's, 50 boxes of .17HMR and .22WMR, 12 and 20 gauge shotshells in 2 3/4 and 3 inch(not sure the shot), .223, 30-06, 303 British and 7.62x39. That's all I remember. They may carry more, but it's not really a place I go for ammo.

Jane & HWY 7 - the only one I've found. If you want more variety (they've only got .303 British, 20 gauge and .22 Fed bulk), go a little farther to the Bass Pro.

Oh, they only sell Winchester. So if you ask for a .223 Remington, "We only sell Winchester." .308 Winchester they have, but they don't have 7.62 NATO. No 303 British, since that is military ammo.
Go to Canadian Tire. The selection is a bit better, and like my buddy says, "They may be dumb, but at least they aren't stupid."

There is an new thing called a phone. You can use it to call the store.

Walmart DID sell ammo so they must have stopped. Since you drove all the way there, did you go 5 minutes north to Bass Pro? They have most types of ammo. No handgun ammo though.

Also the Canadian tire at Hwy# 7 and Weston Rd. sells ammo.

And the brand new Walmart at Hwy #27 north of #7 does not have ammo.

None at the Bolton Walmart on Hwy# 50

Are you sure you have seen 7.62x39 at the Walmart in north Oshawa?

Did you personally go to the sporting section, right next to the binoculars/knife sharpening (top left-hand side of the store)? I don't even bother with the staff or cashiers...I've always gone to the display cases, assured myself it was all still there, and then paged-over some staff (or dragged them, verbally) to unlock the cases.

Again, I feel terrible if I'd given you bad/incorrect advice, and I so sincerely apologize, publicly, for that.

Also a possibility; I've always tried to sincerely help any CGN'er in the GTA ammo-wise, just b/c when I started out looking for ammo here it was so dang frustrating....

I think that the only store in Ottawa not selling ammo is Lincon Fields. They took that out about 17 years ago.

Almost all Ottawa wm has ammo, rimfire is all good prices, but a box of 303 brit is like 25$ :O and Canadian tire 35! its ridiculous!

Checked yesterday and Walmart's here on Vancouver Island are sold-out of that cheap .22 ammo. I normally never buy "Walmart/China" stuff, but that ammo was a wicked deal.

Dude, guarenteed that you drove past at least 5 WM's that sell ammo on your expedition to jane and 7...Not to mention CT's...Do some homework, make some calls...

Yes I did personally go to the sporting section AND I also asked the manager (he said they no longer carry ammo, it was all shipped to a store up north).

So you were put on eternal hold, so you decided to try it anyways...how is this cyclone's problem...He thought they sold ammo...he was wrong...Move on, phone every walmart within your driving distance, and find out for your self who does and doesnt sell ammo...and even if someone on here knows for a fact that a certain walmart sells ammo, theres no guarentee that WM has what you want in stock...so suck it up buttercup, do some legwork yourself.
