We sent four blanks to Cooper. I'm a real sucker for nice walnut but i'm not an expert on picking blanks-not even close. We started with four from a supplier in New Zealand who has nice supplies of blanks from very old and dense trees. The top two are still being built and I can't wait to see them as they are 'exhibition'. The botton two are built so I put up pics of the finished rifles. I like claro and we have some great Coopers in stock made from it. However, in person, the density of these stocks is immediately obvious. The wood finished to a shine as it is without pores(at leat visible ones) Anyway, for all you wood fans ; enjoy and i'll update when the other two are returned as rifles:
