Now that is real ugly…![]()
I never liked bullpups, the "explosion" is too close to your face. If there is an out of battery discharge, your face is gone.
No thanks.
Yeah I like the Desert Tech a lot. It is a pretty big investment all set up though. Maybe one day.I actually kind of like it.. I think the side/angled mag with the UIT style forend is sort of cool.
That being said, A desert tech SRS A2 setup is the same weight and more adaptable. The A2 can be fairly light and handy. Although not FUD friendly or approved.
Walther is onto a winning formula. Light weight, bullpup and straight pull action. I’m just not sure they executed it correctly. Unfortunately at those price points, I’m unlikely to find out.
I’m also in the camp of having to wait for the blatant copies.![]()
A Desert Tech setup is 8 to 9k (not including optic) so I'm hoping the base Walther (assuming it even comes to Canada) would be at least a few thousand less.Well the desert tech aren’t much cheaper if at all, $6k USD for an ugly gun lol

Just not my style of gun I guess!I think the tan/black version with regular length handguard and 22” barrel looks really good. A Harris on the front helps complete a very cool look. I know it’s subjective, but I don’t think it lacks look wise.
Yes 6K is still steep, particularly for the limited Canadian market. Not sure what the price difference would be for a non-suppressor version but it should make a bit of a difference (I'm assuming it is included in the euro version?). I have seen some guns come into Canada priced under international markets so it is not always a straight conversion, but who knows.Bought mine a while ago, second hand with very low round count. Haven’t followed up on the prices. But ya, pretty hefty brand new. Didn’t realize they were that much these days. 7k before taxes seems ti bs the going price.
The base Walther at 4k Euros is $6274 Can. The most expensive one is over 11k Canadian. Coukd be a good candidate for buying second hand.
Was nice to see how the cocking decocking system works… I doubt we will see that coming to Canada. Especially regarding the suppressor, like many rifles now that have the suppressor integrated into the barrel system.
looks nice
