I would like to buy a F150 yesterday, I gave a deposit on it. Today, I have been taking possession, the seller told me that "FORD" had raised the price, I told the seller damn! Ford is so mean, I shake hands with the seller, then I wrote a letter to FORD complaining. Seriously, I will never buy a Ford again.

Wow tremor... your really butthurt over the whole ordeal. It's just a gun. No offence, but your acting like a child who didn't get what he wanted for xmas. Move on.
 
Just returned back to the land of cell reception, only to get my "options email".....The options stink.... Possibly the most half hearted attempt at something that I've seen in a while.

It just reassures me that there is no hounour in business today, life has no promises even if there was promises made. I am disappointed yes but no one is going to effect my emotions but me. No one can make me feel anything I don’t want to feel, I don’t want to feel anything. I placed a small fraction of a pre order for two rifles and I bought 20+ mags. I now have serious reservations about supporting m+m and ns. It was a gamble paying for vapourware but guess what I’d do it again. Very few things in life are promised. Time heals all it won’t be the first or last time I get burnt, I have bigger things to worry about. Like job stability, the future, split tail, my beer getting warm, the next hand of blackjack or poker whatever it’s just a thing. The future of gun ownership in Canada is in limbo.Smoke em if you got em shoot em while you have em. Whatever maybe next time maybe not

What would be a better option? Insist on purchasing a rifle they won't be carrying? A full refund in cash, or a full refund in store credit plus a discount on a purchase is as fair as it gets under the circumstances.
 
These threads have run their course.

The dealers, distributors and manufacturer have all received their share of vitriol, but it won't change the outcome. At this point, the only reputations that are being further tarnished are the select few members on this forum who continue to revel in the melodrama.

It's time to put things into perspective and move on.

Do you honestly think that Wholesale sports loses money on the guns they sell during their yearly blowout for 25% off?
As we've all just seen running a firearms business in Canada is a risky venture, you have the government that wants to shut you down and you've got suppliers and manufacturers who will dump you in a second and move on to the next guy that pops up offering a better price then you've got to deal with guys like us who want the best of the best but only want to pay $2000 or less for it and act like spoiled brats when they don't get what they want. Wanstalls may not recover from this one, as was mentioned earlier, it takes years to build a solid reputation and only a day to watch it all go down the pipe.

Send me a link to the information explaining how he somehow sells stories and makes money off of stolen valor. If it's true and he's guilty of this I would like to know, it may change my opinion of him but I really don't see why anyone would do that. What's to gain from lying about things like that? How do you sell stories?

Not sure how you can justify what M+M did to us by comparing it to what Rick supposedly did. M+M f'd you and everyone else that was on the pre-order list. They rammed it in dry and didn't stop till they were satisfied. And you still want the gun they were peddling? Take your refund and move on, you've got a couple T-81's on the way which are probably a better rifle for half the price of the M10x so enjoy your new toys.
The only stones I'm casting are at M+M for screwing over the Canadian gun buyers who were willing to support a new company with what looked like a half decent rifle for a half decent price. Not really sure why you seem to be so mad at everyone else. M+M f'd you, not me and not any of the others commenting here.

I don't see it as the same thing because I don't know if any of the stories are true, even if they are it would have happened so long ago that it was basically another life. Has he ever admitted to it? Has anyone actually talked to him to see what his side of the story is? Everyone makes mistakes, I'm sure you've told a lie or two in your life to make yourself feel better, cover for a mistake, or in an attempt to try to get into a vag. If true, this is a big one that he should be very ashamed of but how do you know who's telling the truth about something that happened in the 70's? Do you remember every detail of what the people around you did and said 30 years ago?
You can't change the past, you can only influence the now and hope that what you do today makes your life better in the future.
Dwelling on what others may or may not have done thirty years ago is not healthy, let it go and move on. You don't like the guy? That's fine, then don't buy his products but just because you have a personal issue with him doesn't make the product his shop manufactures a piece of junk.
You call it a shotgun even though every MH I've shot has been sub 2 moa with most ammo, when you find a good load and put a good shooter behind the rifle you get to see what it's capable of. The problem with most of the pics of targets posted on this site showing poor accuracy from a rifle you expect to shoot well is that there are very few people on this site that seem to understand that a capable rifle isn't going to perform unless you do some work and figure out what ammo the barrel likes and also have someone behind the trigger that knows how to shoot. We all think we are a great shot but few actually are. This is why we organized sending samples of both rifles to Jerry to have someone who is impartial and also well known for long range accuracy and also making competition grade ammunition show us what he can do with them.

Anyways, this is pointless and I'm tired of it. Lets get back on track and be mad at M+M and wait to hear if Wanstalls has any new options for Monday morning after quietly reading all these posts. Maybe they will grant your wish and work out a way to get the pre-sale deals through after all and then you can deal with NS if you have any issues and then you'll be mad at them as well.

I am glad I am not directly involved with the pre-order going south.
I feel for all of you. It sucks being let down, & feeling disappointed.
I would turn my attention to other new things on the horizon.
