It's refund, or store credit with 10% off, not both.

Where did MM actually say they would back out of honouring the preorders?

They are quiet, not even posting on facebook anymore. Probably north sylva told them to ignore the "clowns" complaining.

You do realize that Wanstalls also said on their facebook page that "rest assure" they will honor the pre sale. This probably till they saw what kind of a hit they are taking and decided to just give people the option of purchasing something else from them, the refund option was last on their list. So they both at fault, the only positive thing out of this is that we realize how much we are being gouged on everything up here.

So I have invested $500 in magazines and accessories after Wanstalls assured that they'd honour the pre sale pricing. I've been a long time customer and have always had great experiences but I've got to say this whole thing has left a bad taste in my mouth and my wallet lighter.

Not sure what I will choose to do here.

Yes. Wanstalls made that statement after they started the pre order, and people started talking about how CanAm said $2000-2400 was their original estimate months ago.

It was around that same time that m+m also said on FB that they would honor it.

Then while waiting for an msrp to be decided on, that all got thrown out the window, and the deal with NS got made.

Wanstalls said m+m wasn't doing any exclusive distributorship, which is not how it ended up in the end.

You can blame whoever you want, but to be, the obvious wrong doer is m+m. Wanstalls would have to be retarded to put out a preorder without talking to m+m first, so that leaves me to believe they said one thing to wanstalls then changed their mind when NS offered more money for exclusivity.

Wanstalls said they would honor the pre order, they are not

I say adios and good day to Wanstalls, more money going to wolverine and brownells.

I was on the pre-sale.

It's been a fairly decent rollercoater of drama but in the end I'm not out anything really, I've had several successful & positive transactions with Wantstalls in the past and on that note I just opted for a BCL in January.

Everyone jumped the gun in buying xtra mags and accessories for the m10x when it was still fairly uncertain that we would even get these. I too bought a five pack of mags from IRG for this rifle
It's our own fault for buying stuff for something that we don't have. No sense in crying over spilled milk.

Yeah. Something shady is abound.

100% guaranteed Wanstalls will be selling this product in the future. North Sylva will simply get their cut. Based on the 2k MSRP, figure NS will pay $1200-1300 cost, Wanstalls or other dealers will pay $1600-1700 as their cost, and the rifle will be sold for $1900-2k based on individual retailers pricing.

Wanstall's has decided that honouring the pre-sale means they'll be taking a huge loss.
I wouldnt be surprised if theyre all in on it, and just continually laying the blame on each other publicly to save face.

I'll be hesitant to purchase from Wanstall's ever again, and definitely will not be purchasing any products made by M+M ever.

At this point, just refund me my goddamned deposit in a timely manner. I'm getting a p226 instead.

tl;dr - business as usual. IRUNGUNS wont be able to get them, because the 18.5" "DMR" model will only be available to North Sylva, so good luck getting them grey-market. PAY THE MIDDLEMAN'S FEE, PLEB!

Yes I don't disagree, I'm just annoyed more than anything. I thought it was safe to do some shopping once we were told to rest easy and were assured our preorders were secure. I took Wanstalls word and it bit me, oh well live and learn I suppose.

Exactly, I bought a scope, and 20 mag for my two m10x ,

Well then, I can understand them not wanting to lose at least $20 000 by selling rifles for $200 less than they paid for them from NS.

Of course, but they brought it upon themselves by jumping the gun and taking people's money. They tried to get in before everyone else, whether on bad info or not, and now they've lost many people's trust.

Personally, I of course dont expect them to deliver me a rifle at a loss, but they must realize, they've lost a customer.
