Well then, how about when gas was 39 cents a Gallon and marine gas was two bits?
Lever had unfired Webley .38s for $14.99, Mark VI .455s for $16 and Webley WGs for $24.95, Kar-43s for $65 unfired. Minimum wage was $1.25 an hour in BC, 50 cents in Manitoba. I was there, both places.
The market is what determines the price of anything. I have a Garand here with 300 rounds through it since new. Because I have shot the thing, do I discount the price downward from the $185 I paid for it? Or do I follow what everyone else is doing and price it at more than a G?
BTW, nice to know that there are some SKSs around on which the magazines have not been permanently butchered. They are such a nice little rifle.... and 5 rounds is idiotic in a rapid-fire match, which is what we shoot around here.
Note to self: petition to get that stupid "law" changed. There is an exception built into it for target shooters, just the CFOs refuse to implement it because they "know better" than the people who (unwillingly) PAY THEIR FAT SALARIES.
