On second thought, Plonker...your suspicion of me makes me suspicious...I now believe you are the one who has my rifle.. please provide proof that you do not have my rifle....

I gave enough "proof" to the CFO, RCMP, CRA, ABC, BYOB and AOL.

You're absolutely right. I'm not willing to provide you with a screenshot of my banking information in order to prove anything to you. Are you someone who can do something about it? If not, then proving anything to you is a waste of time. Am I supposed to provide you proof that I don't have the rifle? Am I supposed to provide you proof that I don't have the money? I have a prior thread on the situation with pictures. I've posted a chain of back and forth emails from myself and the seller above. You can read them if you like, and then question me regarding the validity of those emails, and whether or not I took the time to write out all that stuff just for the heck of it. Then you can ask yourself if the other members on this thread, who are also sharing similar issues with this seller if they are up to something as well. Everybody get your proof out! Someone needs proof.

You're a troll. I'm glad I did what I did. If it spares one person from having to go through this situation, and allows people for a way to alert others of potential issues with sellers, than its a small price to pay to deal with Mr. Proofy Mc Prooferson here....otherwise, go ahead and send him some of your money if you want.

No "proof" need.
All one needs to do is read. Some have problems with that......

That might have been me. I did post on the forum the pics of the rifle, and to ask what people thought I was dealing with. For what its worth, the SNs on the rifle were PR 2340. If anyone tries to sell it to you, or if its already been re-sold, you know what you're dealing with. He'll need to change all the parts with SNs or destroy/bury the sucker. I suppose reporting it stolen, rather than simply filing a complaint to RCP would be the better way to go. Regardless - Everyone be aware of the Serial Number, remember this guy's name and number, and be cautious and do your diligence with any new business on the Island or Lower Mainland. I had a lengthy chat with this guy on the phone to try and get a feel for him before purchasing - he even sent me additional photos I requested, so he certainly played the role of good guy. It was my own fault for not knowing more of the bayonet features. I even tried searching forums etc to find anyone making a complaint against the guy and "business". Will be sure to update on developments.

There's a guy over on SKS boards that just updated a thread today talking about this rifle (PR2340)Not sure if he's also a member here? Looks like he received it in December sometime and figured out its issues as well. He also stated that he returned it and had the CC charges reversed. Guess it got resold as soon as it came back from you

I remember this rifle now! Yes, it was a complete hump job, not just the bayo. Certainly not the first one we've seen come from a Canadian retailer either.

My goodness. Scams abound. What a gong show that Tim guy is.

But what do I know. I'm on a site rife with scammers and viruses...

Twist

No need to apologise, you just told everyone how well he treated you. I see no reason to doubt what you have said. I had no reason to doubt what the complainer said either, until he said that he was NOT WILLING TO PROVIDE ANY EVIDENCE.

He doesn't have to. What good would it do for you? He can reserve it for court purposes. We can trust him on his word. So far, the accused individual has not come forth to refute or make things right, like most reputable dealers.

This makes me want to only buy via CC protection. Forget emt... the discount seems good, but asking for trouble as it's irreversible.

EMT's are very trackable - police simply have to acquire a production order. EMT's are deposited to bank accounts and bank accounts are tied to one's personal information.
