Was there a .303 Ruger #1?

Apparently, they did, in fact, make 11 RSI's in 303 Brit. They were all sold to employees or donated for fundraisers. We did not find this out until a year after we sold the 'run' into Canada.

Actually I was only referring to the RSI that I am importing through PR... it is a .243 to go with my 7X57...

I have no hankering for an No.1-RSI Brit, but would absolutely love a .358 Win No.1-RSI... or a Whelen...

Ruger No 1 in 30-30 is a novel one, but the one that should be a perfect fit is one chambered in 30-40 Krag IMO.

Many more true 30 caliber bullets out there versus .311 for the .303 British.

I'm considering a #4 custom rifle bedded in a one piece stock, with a medium-light contour 18"-20" 1:10 .308 barrel chambered for .303 Brit to be built over next winter. I would keep the flip up ladder style peep, install a barrel band front sight with a rectangular post that is regulated for the fixed ghost ring combat sight, and have a scout scope mounted to a quarter rib. Thus I'd have the advantage of the Lee Enfield action and magazine combined with a match quality barrel, with a zillion bullets to choose from. This rig might usurp my '06's "favorite" position!

Sounds like a superb idea Boomer!
