Waterfowl gun

Mossberg 935 is good for Price and Quality, specially for using 3.5" shells.
I just bought one and took to Range , it worked great even with 2 3/4"
light shells . Tried almost 100 rounds of cheap light weight Shells without a problem.

The Recoil is almost none even on 3" shells, I have yet to try 3 1/2" on it but have a good feeling after trying all these rounds.

I look forward to a great Waterfowl shoot with it .

man, you really hate those Stoegers.
i think you just broke the record for replying to yourself the most times :)

mbpig, I am glad you think I broke some type of record? Maybe?....but... unless I screwed up my quote tags again?;).......I made my record posts by replying individualy to coments made in just one ####tard post:D

Anyone else recommend the Baikal? What's the composite stock like, they only have a pic of the wood one on the website!

Are Weatherby SAS guns any good? Is it made by another manufacturer?
Thanks

MGW,

I can't recommend the MP-153 enough.

I've had mine for 2 years now and it has become my number one gun.

A previous poster mentioned using it in -27 degree weather and so too did I a few weeks ago in -24 degree weather (including the 40kmh winds). The gun never failed and was good on tricky shots. We had a trigger happy guy on our firing line that kept firing before the signal and which forced the rest of us to take quick and accurate shots at rather oblique angles, the gun did not disappoint.

Same thing when shooting clays. The last time I was out with my son we shot a case full of clays and could've shot more as the recoil is so soft as to be non-existant.

It is easy to disassemble and clean.

I'm actually thinking of selling my Benelli and my other semi.

Went to Bass Pro tonight, and I liked the Browning silver and the Win SX2 (they didn't have a SX3 though). I must say that the guy there was a bit of a ####, like I was wasting his time, even thought there was no one else around! I assume if I liked the SX2 I would like the 3, especially because of the shims to adjust it. Can anyone recommend where to find a good price in either one these guns (silver or SX3)? I heard LeBaron has good prices but I couldn't find these guns on their website....
Thanks!

wow, the LeBaron price is actually lower than SIR - thats a first.
make sure you spend the $25 for the LeBaron Club Card, youll save another $100 (minus the $25 fee for the card, but it saves you 10% off any regular priced items you buy there all year).

Bass Pro had the Silver for $850. They don't advertise the gun prices so you actually have to check in the store, at least I couldn't find anything on the website!

How big of a bonus would you say the shims are that are included in the SX3?

The shims that come with the SX3 and the later SX2s are only important if the gun does not fit you. The shims allow you to up or down the comb about 1/8 inch and to do cast on or cast off. At this time, I would not buy the SX2 unless it was discounted. If you are thinking of the silver, look at the gold. Keep in mind that Browning has a $100 rebate on the gold.

The shims are a big bonus - it allows most end users to tailor fit the gun. I shoot a SBEII, using the correct recoil pad for my L.O.P. and the cast/drop shims allowed me to fit the gun to me perfectly (increasing accuracy and to a lesser degree recoil absorption).

FYI shop around and you can find a SBEII for +/-$1500.

An added bonus to the SBE2 is that the comb is removable and replacable to allow even more custom fitting!

Don't overlook the 3.5 inch guns, people go from 2 3/4" to 3" because they say its better. So why wouldn't it be better to go from 3" to 3 1/2" ? With
the newest steel loads the 3 1/2" really do the job well.
