Although I use that powder throughout my collection, I do not shoot a .223 so I cannot help you with recipes. However, I am sure that there will be many who will tell you that this is not a good powder for this round (even though it is a great powder, but it is surplus so it can't be any good) you really need a $35 a pound super new powder to actually get the job done.
I use it in everything from .243 and .308 to the .30-06 and .303BR, with the SKS thrown in. Nope, it is NOT the absolute best powder in all of the them, but it works well enough for me and I only have one powder on my bench, which I buy in 21lb lots.
