WCFCC Nokomis 2012 - June 28- July 1, 2012

Look what came in today! Now off to the stock maker and then the smith.

Barreled action and the table action, with bolts and scope rails and block for some sort for the bottom of the actions!

Uhm....Keith, those are bedding blocks. The three recoil lugs cut on the underside of the action fit into the slots on the blocks. The block needs to be fit and bedded into place in the stock below the action.

There are still rooms available at the Nokomis Hotel if anyone is still looking for reasonably priced accommodations. Just call the hotel and ask for Tanya. She's got the whole hotel reserved for us for the weekend. Tell her you're coming for the Westerns and she'll set you up with a room.

Like get more parts for the build and get them to the stock maker so he can make the stock and then take all of that to the smith..... and way more to be done yet too... both for the match and for myself .... rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I hear ya RD

Looks like I touch down in Saskatoon airport around 4:30 on Wed.

If anyone needs a ride, I can take one passenger - smaller rental car but I am sure we can stuff gear in there.

PM or email if you need a ride.

37 guys pd, 1 team shooter to pay makes 38, 5 new guys that said they like to this weekend at Nokomis after the LR match we had (with out a drop of rain on us either day, yes it rained after we were in the clubhouse but who cares eh) so guessing 43 plus guys...

Woo Hoo HPS medallions......I could use another one to make a pair.

Looks like I'll be learning to shoot off a rest, my new gun is 2lbs overweight with the bipod. :(

Good thing I had the foresight to buy one..

Just go back to using your BR!!! Sounds like a good plan to me.
Cheers Buddy

We are at 38 paid shooters for the Western's and a possible 5-7 more coming as walk ups. Thinking of using only 5 targets with 3 relays (to balance the number on the line each relay)... 5 targets x3 shooter per target x3 relays = 45 guys, plus it is easier to get 15 guys and gear on our lines than 18 guys plus gear.

I leave for Nokomis Friday morning, run the Driller's match Saturday, the ISSF and the Ultra Longs on Sunday. On Monday thru Wednesday, I will be preparing for the Western's, fixing targets, etc. I may swing back to Stoon one afternoon to check the mail box again. Still looking for bottom metal etc from PGW, hope it comes in time.

To this end, I will be UNREACHABLE from Friday morning 'till July 2nd except in person at the Nokomis NorthStar range, located 6 miles east of the town of Nokomis. Weather is forecast for GREAT, +30C temps and no rain!

See ya' all out there eh!
