We outdoor guys need a company to do a run of M6 scout rifles in .22lr/410, 22wmr/410, 17hmr/410. I've seen companies get Turkish guns made ( in not a fan of supporting them though) and Chinese clones made so why can't we get enough interest to get a M6 scout? They got for 650-1200 dollars which is ridiculous. If one could be made to compete with the savage 22lr/410 price point and if it where a quality made piece, I'd pay 450$ for one or 2.

What we want:

Calibres : 22lr/410, 22wmr/410, 17hmr/410, 17 hornet/410, 223/410?
Barrel length: 14" or 16"
Action: takedown style break action
Material: stainless steel/ cerekote
Sights: tritium front and picittiny rail with ghost ring
Extras: ammo storage in rear as well as sweet case

Made for the Cdn. market, they could be manufactured with the original 14" barrels, so they would fold in half.

What about a 223/410 with a insert for the .223 barrel so you could also shoot 22lr... Then you could choose between 22lr, 223, 45lc or 410.... That would be a pretty sweet little backpacking rifle

Neat idea. But not at the expense of weight.

Cost dependant, I would be VERY interested! And, like others said, the 410 tube should be able to handle the 45 Long Colt.

Not sure about the 22 barrel being a 223 barrel with a sleeve, would there be a way to store the 22 sleeve on the side of the 2 barrels? That could work!

Cheers
Jay

14" would be dandy! Friend has one and I really like it but the original length barrels would be sweet.

Corwin has said Turkey is out as Turkey has legal issues with rifled barrels. I believe I recall CanAm saying it could be done but it would required a doner gun or blueprints.

The last Springfield ones were being made in the Czech Republic. Wonder what happened to the tooling?

Perhaps a compartment in the buttstock would work...this is shaping up nicely!

Well, what if a group of us cgn guys pooled together and bought a sample to submit to someone? Ideally a Canadian manufactures to keep its blood pure and keep money in our own country. I wonder if any site sponsors would be interested in helping us pursue this cause?

Let's get a good poll going here so someone may address our cries.... There is a huge market for a quality compact over under and the m6 is a pretty nostalgic design. Maybe if we get a couple hundred people say yes then we someone will try to fill this void

Together with my win9410 the m6 scout is one of my favorite bunny guns

Just remember the original doesn't have a trigger but a squeeze lever and it takes a bit of training to get good with it... survival is for me the only reason I would have one. Phil.
