Wearing a mask this hunting season?

And an economy that is being artificially propped up by gross government spending... there is going to be a terrible financial price to pay when reality hits... the question is, who will be holding the purse strings when that happens?
At this point ,who gives a sh@t ,let it crumble.
What's the worst that can happen? Anything is better than this technology driven presence that we have now

Good lord...

What a pathetic future this turned out to be...

Even the artificially inflated numbers being peddled by the government don't justify this absolute terror the general public is demonstrating...

Stop playing these stupid games or they will never stop...

The only crisis is the steady erosion of our civil liberties...

Amen brother.
All the masks are good for is whiping my arse.

You do realize that mask-wearing is to protect others from you right?

lvoe that one ... went to the hospital this friday and the only ones that did not wear mask where doctors and nurses and the staff of course, even the people in charge of questionning visitors and patients ... there is certainly something somewhere that is not told to us the poor peons ...

total OFF TOPIC regarding CANADA. but here in Aus, i am 4 hours plus away from the "Zone" in melbourne, its on a stage 4 lock up. rest of State 3...., we "must" wear a face covering while out in public.................... or face fines. pun intended.

restrictions in stage 3 say all camp ground closed. no camping.... but day hunting allowed..

grr

This.

If you don’t feel safe with your hunting group and trust that they are all quite confident they aren’t sick before they leave home don’t go.

In my camp there is no way to keep your distance. A few days before we will make a decision if camp is a go or to pass on this year if it’s looking risky. Masks have their place despite what those who want to make it a political issue say. But they would be futile in my camp atmosphere so if I thought we needed them there would not be a camp trip this fall

Exactly for that reason, our Moose hunt this year is a "wash". Next year,Ontario's Moose licensing and regulatory changes will alter the entire dynamic. Moose hunting as we knew it will change forever. Whether it's a good thing or not remains to be seen.

Just take your used ear plugs and put them up your nose, old sock in mouth plus a face shield. Slam back a few bottles of sanitizers when the gutting is done.

Come to think of it, I do believe that there is a law in Ontario that prohibits wearing a mask or other disguise while hunting. That is, I'm pretty sure I read that in the Regs here, but it may have been in Quebec.

I could possibly get behind the idea of masks somehow helping if the government actually told people to wear proper masks (N95) in public spaces. However, we're required to wear a face covering, not masks, so people can wear whatever they want. This includes completely useless scarfs, bandannas, dollar store dust masks, and shirts pulled up over your face.

If masks actually did anything we'd be legally required to wear a proper masks. But since we're not, face coverings are simply a way to make the sheep feel safe in public spaces.

Most now understand this is complete BS, you're just late to the party.....

Idk about a mask but my trail cams aren't showing much, maybe the deer are social distancing or wearing coyote masks.... stay home, don't get hunted. Lol

I hunt solo most of the year so I don’t think a mask is needed lol, I will cover my face if I’m sitting in wait or it’s cold out but I’ve done that long before this scamdemic came around.

haha! copy that- its been an going to be such a more interesting factor than just the covid thing they plastered across this world.

I am aware of the controversy surrounding wearing masks and don't really wish to get into the politics of that. Everyone's situation is not the same and it's not fair to overly judge. (especially considering potentially a large second wave this fall)

If one chooses to wear a mask around your hunting partners - say in the truck while driving back and forth or skinning and gutting an animal - is there a tasteful/cool camo one out there that would somewhat blend in with traditional camo hunting clothes?

Would anyone consider wearing one?

Im of the mind that the average mask isnt going to make a difference in a vehicle with someone. Its just too close of a proximity and too much of a chance for high viral load.

Also note - the mask is not to protect you, its to stop you from spreading your germs.

Anyways, if you want to be more discreet about it, wear a face buff. They are a legitimately useful thing to have hunting anyways. It will at least stop your spit and goobers from launching onto the dash or door of the truck

Going for a four hour ride with a buddy for our alpine mule deer trip on Sunday.

I'll be wearing a mask in his truck.

Vistaprint has masks with replaceable filters and they offer them in some camo patterns (woodland) or you can get custom ones printed.

I hate masks as much as the next guy and realize 90% of the "face coverings" people are using are absolutely useless and do nothing. I also don't care for the idea of being forced to wear them, but some customers/clients require us to wear them and I think mandatory masks everywhere will be coming this fall, and these are the nicest and most comfortable ones I've found yet.

Sleeping / eating in same cabin ?
Separate hotel rooms ?

You fail to understand the concept. I'm wearing a mask to not contaminate him if I'm carrying the virus, not the other way around.

Cabins?

Hotel rooms?

And we're tenting in separate tents.
