Are Tikka barrels generally a bit slow across the board? Definitely lots of reports of the 6.5 CM versions being so
I Wouldn’t and Will not . Factory stock is just as good - IMHO . RJ
So why even bring it up then?
Seems to me that you're the type of guy always looking for an argument.
Don’t start with that SH*T AJ - I just asked him WHY ? he changed out and all I got was a BS answer and I don’t think it involved you did it ?
So who’s looking for an argument ? RJ

The slight extra weight of a weatherby and a brake are really nice shooting anything with some kick off a bench. Like said above, remove the brake for hunting where it’s not needed, or wanted.
The OEM S2 stocks are pretty solid, B&C are an improvement
I have a B&C and a HS Precision. I prefer the HS in reality
As for taking the Brake off? Yes I get that’s an option but I couldn’t understand why WBY didn’t stick to 26” length w/the Brake on as opposed to 28” in length they are offering.
Yeah good riddance to you little Jimmy.
GFY little Johnny boyRJ
I had a Wby Vanguard 2 in 243. It was one of those models from the 2010s with the non-griptonyte stocks, I think it was fibreglass of sorts. That thing was incredibly accurate up to 100gr bullets. Probably the only rifle I regret selling! The best loads I came up with were 85gr BTHP Sierras on 35.5gr of IMR4064...pretty common to get sub-1/2" 3 shot groups at 100. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
Because of the sporter-weight barrel, it shot best if you took your time with 1-2 minutes between shots so it didn't heat up too much. 243 is kind of a magnum round, if you look at it. Great rifles and a great cartridge.
6.5 CMs loaded to normal brass life pressure are all with in normal FPS for that powder capacity of cartridge !
It’s Not a 6.5x55 or a 6.5x284 or a 6.5 PRC . ! But it does GREAT for its Size . JMO RJ
