Webley RIC Pre 2 Blowed Up

As of now i just have the shank drilled out with a left handed bit, it didnt grab strong enough to unscrew it. So i gotta get an easy out for the rest. Once it is out i will confirm the rear screw fits into the front hole (thats what she said!) and if it does i will be able to try to find someone to make a new one or compare it to anything i order to make sure i dont end up getting 25 screws lol

Moe, the head of the screw sheared from the shank. I could go over it with a magnet but i dont think that will help anything really. I have the rear screw and the heads looked identical. (Maybe length is different?)

Should be able to measure the depth of the threaded hole once you have all the pieces out, that will tell you the length required. - dan

Update

I tried some trigger guard screws from a mark VI and they are too thick. Not only do they not thread in, they also can't fit in to the holes of the trigger guard.

I will see what else I can come up with

In my test above the screw that came out of my MkVI looks the same diameter as in the RIC unlike your picture where they are visibly different diameter. I have some supposedly mkVI screws that just came from Numrich - I'll check if they fit my mkVI - if they do do you want to try the screw that worked in my RIC?

If you could check that would be helpful to see. The only thing im starting to think is that maybe my version (which is considered pre-ric 2, which has differences from a ric 1, as well as some differences from a ric 2) may have slight differences from the others in the webley lines of revolvers.

Update:

I checked these numrich mk6 screws in a newly drilled and tapped m4 - 0.7 hole and it fits great.

I am wondering if i just re-tapped my holes to m4x07 i could shorten these mk6 screws and use them without issue. (Besides having to slightly enlarge my trigger guard openings to fit these slightly larger screws)

Got the new holes drilled and tapped for the mk6 screws but now i am into a new issue.

Does the sear have a spring pressing against it to keep forward pressure? I am having trouble finding a detailed parts breakdown on this thing. Something that would show if i am missing a spring or if one broke off inside someplace.

The sear doesn't rely on the back of the trigger guard to keep forward pressure does it?

It seems to move freely on mine when the trigger guard is removed. No tension.

Found only these two pics

This is labeled as the ric

And this the tranter version that the ric was based off? This looks like there should be a spring?

Spring that looks like is what i need to fix, but what part is that on the ric diagram?

Might it be this?

It really does seem like something should be holding the sear forward but i dont know much about these things.

Another image i found on a youtube video, seems like there is definitely suppose to be a spring keeping tension on the sear. Hopefully it is still in there and intact. Maybe i just moved the sear out of position and it skipped over the spring. Will have to take it apart and see whats going on.
