-----Aren't we all one firearms community here? Start acting like it and grow up! no wonder we have problems standing the govt up on firearms bills and related issues cause we can't play as a team.
Bickering will only fuel the govt to ban and restrict us further as they know that we are pre-occupied.

Claven, we've already had a little talk in "Milsurp" about not insulting other members of the Forum.(http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/viewtopic.php?t=98690). In your case history repeats itself. The fact that you have already reached more than 5000 posts does not make you better than any other member, that includes those with only 83 posts.
Can you tell us, what does this mean? "I trust you're even old enough to own firearms? "

I started this thread to discuss the new VZ-858, not to have you ##### and complain about Wolverine or Marstar, or fight members of the Forum and specially not for anyone to be insulted. :) Now, take a deep breath and DON'T reply. Or if you do, please be curteous.

CZ, my age and post count comments weren't directed at you. And my point is not htat post count = knowledge. It's that I was talking about stuff that happened on the board over a year ago and someone who's only got 80 or so posts is telling me I'm wrong when said member wasn't a CGNer at the time and has no idea what I'm referring to. None of those posts are even still on CGN anymore!

My comments stand. I don;t like being told I'm wrong by someone who doesn;t even understand the issue ;) Unless of course, it's a duplicate NIC from him being banned for something in which case, he's still an A-hole :shock:

Remember what the point of this thread is? Whatever the discussion was last year on CGN, it has no place here.

And last, but not least; take it easy on the way you tackle(to say the least :lol: ) other members of the Forum. It is great you have an opinion or an argument, share it but don't impose it.(You don't wanna behave like a Liberal...just kidding :lol: :lol: )

After filtering thru this thread, i figure the largest difference is the barrels. And the CZ is non=restricted. the VZ is restricted? Is that correct? That in it itself is a huge difference. I like the idea of the CZ-858, keep the reviews coming. Lets some pics of it in action. By the way, those army pics are great.

So no epoxy plug in these guns, I take it? I must say that judging solely from the pics posted in this thread, the 858's seem to be in much better shape than the the two 58's that I had a chance to examine a couple of months ago. The 58's looked like they've been dragged behind a pickup truck for a couple thousand miles - the paint was all scrathced up, as was the wood furniture. The 858's, on the other hand, look freshly painted, the wood seems to be in decent shape, and the internals look brand new (again, judging solely from the pics posted here).
 
yup, same here. my VZ58 was in new shape and didn't look like what Capp325 is describing.
By the way what is the paint they put on the VZ58s and CZ858s ? is it an epoxy paint ? or something else.. ie) phenolic? :?:
 
I have yet to see anybody prove any of the VZ's have actual epoxy in them. More likely people who dont know what a weld looks like.
 
It did not look like a weld to me. But I'm no welding expert. The important part is that looked like crap.

In any case, does the 858 have a plug (welded or otherwise)?
