Welcome to the ATF SBR-9 restricted FRT 197619

Not really, Covid is now over and there were 3 companies involved with bringing the NDS18SC to the Canadian market, this platform is only under the IRUNGUNS umbrella. We are going forward with this project.

So whatever happened to the NDS18 project? I still desperately want a BRN180 style build... would it be possible to at least get an upper that is compatible with existing lowers available on the market here in Canada currently?

No, they were proprietary to that lower. PWS has also changed ownership, the project is no longer.

Irun only answers us peasants when they deem appropriate. Reference "Nerd Holster thread".

You're not wrong, they've gone dark on that thread for sure. Moral of this story is - only order what's on their websites (US or CDN) and forget about what they're going to bring to market until it actually happens. To their credit though, at least they don't take pre-orders.

I learned "no preorders" from tactical imports. took my 1600$ for a Mateba clone just to give me back my money 5 years later.

Lockhart Tactical is the reason I’ll never get involved with a pre-order. Not much to be said other than always use a credit card.

Update:

As there were a couple changes made under the recommendation or guidance of the RCMP prior to the releasing of the new FRT we have decided to machine the complete ATF SBR-9 out of billet aluminum.

There will be a marginal cost difference but the overall product will be stellar in comparison.

We are still a couple weeks out from from having a finished production rifle. We will keep everyone in the loop.

Will original features like interchangeability with glock parts be affected in anyway? And is the design posted in the original still what it's going to look like but simply made out of aluminum? Thanks for the update regardless :)
