Welcome to the Next Generation of Mossberg!

No dust cover and no forward assist! Oh damn, this is really going to hinder its performance at the range. Seriously guys? It's $849 with a free floating barrel. If the pistol grip doesn't suit, just swap it out like a lot of people do with the A2 grip anyway. Thanks Wolverine for all the cool products.

This is great for people on a budget who want to get into an AR-15 type firearm without breaking the bank.

No ar has a true free float barrel. The gas tube or piston (if you have a piston upper) will interfere with the "free float".

Not that I am complaining, I am happy to see a cheaper ar for people who want a ar of budget.

I was quoting their ad, but yes you are correct it's a floating hand guard rather than barrel. Either way it can't be a bad thing, as you have stated, to have an affordable AR.

Wow. So much b1tching.
$850 for a new, American made AR.
Looks fine to me. More choice is good.
Don't get the Mossberg bashing either. My 930 is a beast.

Good job, Wolverine. Good value for the money.
Funny you know, if this was a 1981 Norinco for $3000, and MUCH uglier, people would be saying how great it is and 'how do I get on the waiting list'...
Crazy but true! Amazing

Competition for the DPMS oracle. Always nice... But I do miss the forward assist, flash hider, and I am not sure about the grip

Can I ask why? A serious question.

Quite frankly, I think the forward assist is a solution to a problem that doesnt exist. Or for the pessimist: a solution to a problem that makes that problem a bigger problem.

because the $25 its going to cost to have someone thread it is just too much to bare

Actually for $25 more you can get the DPMS Oracle or whatever it's called from Wolverine that has all the standard AR15 features including threaded barrel....:)
