Well, Now They've Declared War.....

The nearest thing?

Some boards have a "contributor" status in the profile. I don't have any 12(x) thingies, but if there was a sensible organsation to give $20 to, I'd contribute.
The nearest thing would be the Conservative Party of Canada, though  .
Either that or group jig buying next year.
Presumably nobody would agree on what to donate to.

I watched a guy hand over a $2800 Steyr AUG to a cop - Kim Campbell (remember her?) decided it was a bad gun she was a PC do you really trust them?

Today's Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) is not the same animal as the Progressive Conservative's (PC) of Kim Cambell's day.

All politicians are inherently defective - they want to tell people how to live. Also, if you're wondering why the media won't report the truth, it's because when they get dumped in favor of the "new shiny face" - they get employed in government communications departments. (if you think that's an exageration check how many Gov't. communications consultants and OIC appointments for communications have familiar sounding names) I know this sounds really negative but it's true - they do want to tell you what, where and if you can own something it's part of their defective nature. Once you realize that they are Really all the same, you can get down to trying to do business with them, if you try to rely on "they seem sympathetic" they'll screw you every time. In the end they are all used car salesmen in nice suits that WE paid for. Hold your local slime ball to account!

Alrighty...Got my hearing date and a series of requests from my lawyer.

If anyone here is 12(3) class I could use the 'crime lab' report on how any converted autos were converted to semi only. I dont need the actual report...just what it says. I have a couple for different guns I own but a few more would be a bonus. This goes toward proving these guns have already been deemed 'safe' by the RCMP

lets all go to Ottawa!!!!!!!Lets get seen!!!!Make them listen!!!!!

That's not a bad idea... we should organize some type of protest or ralley. That'd open their eyes a little bit. We gotta get in their face! :x

We've done that twice in Ottawa...first time was when Alan Rock said "Registration does not mean confiscation".

Second time was when police "snipers" tracked our movements from the tops of buildings surrounding Parliament Hill.

A lot of good these ralllies did then...I doubt that an;y future rally would do any good.

The only way to beat the bastards is to somehow unify and issue both court and constitutional challenges. Big bucks required, but there are just too many organizations claiming to represent "us".

Well... I've had a lot of overtime at work the last few weeks...

When I open my pay envelope, there will be another envelope to fill and mail of to you! Just keep up the fight!

BTW, when you win, you'll be inviting all of us donors to a range session, right?

This is utterly retarded. They made us spend $1,000,000 to bring everyone into the fold, now the guys who've gone through the most bull#### are the ones getting hit. I, as a legitimate handgun owner I fear for my future and my investment of time and money into this sport. What will be next? Military style handguns being banned? If the government thinks that FAL's and AK's are scary looking, then what's the future of AR-15's? I own no prohibs but I have a great appreciation of these great rifles and would love to own more than a few. If the government is unwilling to say that a semi-auto 7.62 is semi-auto 7.62, whether it be a Remington or an FN, then I think it's already come to the point where we're screwed, and the time for action is nigh. WE WILL LOSE OUR RIGHTS IF WE STAND IDLY BY. All of my non-shooting friends (and I think most of the honest blue-collar majority) couldn't give a flying #### that there's guys who's hobby is shooting these style of guns. The bottom line is that this will not prevent crime. If the public is made to understand that, then they're on our side. It is the intent for violent behaviour, not the means, that gets people hurt. Bartok5 has a good point, show us one prohib rifle used by a legit owner in a violent crime. If the feds want to keep us all safe they should be locking up the drug dealers not riding our asses. Responsible owners are just that, it doesn't matter if they own a .22 or bazooka.
