Well, I've had 2 m305s since I started buying guns a couple years back. The First was an awesome 2007 m14s, full length I picked up from Epps. Shortly after, I had an opportunity to trade my old Macbook Pro for a Socom 18, so I took that deal, and sold the M14s. I gave the guy a smoking deal. ($500 shipped with 2 stocks a couple mags in a hard case!? Come on!! I really wanted cash for a VZ58 lol) I wish I kept that one. If it wasn't sold to a member from QC I might have tried to buy that one back!
Well, since then I've gotten into Remington 700s and now I have 2. Recently I needed a scope upgrade, so I sold my Socom 18 to a friend. Again, for a great deal.
I knew I'd be back, but I didn't think it would hit me so fast.
I got my scope in the mail about 2 weeks ago and already I'm feeling a big 30 caliber hole in my heart. So yesterday I sold a nice .22 lever action I had to fund another m14 project. This will not be my last, but this time around I plan on taking it exactly in the direction I always intended. I settled for some parts on the last one, where I could have waited for the right stock and usgi parts I really wanted. No plans to add any mount or accessories this time. Just a nice plain Jane M14 with a wood USGI stock and a few select USGI parts such as the hammer and trigger, bolt guts, and rear sight is my end game for now (...yeah right). I'm going to take my time and do it right.
Time to go hunting...
The elders warned me this is a serious addiction. That is no lie.
