Oh man! Great memories! First place I ever bought surplus back in 1995. Still have everything I bought there.
heck I was shopping at westley's place in the mid 80's when i was first getting into paintball..... is it the "Westley"? or a family member reopening the business?
I thought they finally got shut down over some kind of toy pistol that people were converting to fire live ammo???? it was several years back now.
I wonder if they will have much actual military and WW2 surplus?

Well, I was only 12 years old back in 1995…
Visited and toured the Soviet Submarine that was parked in the Quay across from Westley surplus too. Still have a zippo I bought from the owners after the visit, Foxtrot U521. Bought a huge mess of inexpensive surplus camo netting from Westley right after the tour. If only I had more money back then….
I remember buying SKS stripper clips a year or so after for my bros Type56 SKS, $2 a clip! That’s what I sell them for at shows now!
Good memories.
Since the new owners bought it around 2010-2015 it’s become 50/50 models, airsoft and new production camo clothes, backpacks. Still some surplus items and clothes but it’s a far cry from how it was at the old location.
Oh buddy. I toured that sub too with my Scout group. Didn't get to go to Westley's though! Only have one experience with Westley's, went in the mid-2000s. Don't think I bought anything; compared to Dave's up on 12th it felt kinda sketchy and junky to teenage me, but I'm never mad to see a surplus store these days.
I remember when it was Westlynn surplus
And just up Sixth Ave. one block was the Three story Hobby Shop. And A&B Sound was on the corner. Good times in the ‘80’s
