What’s your favorite target

This going to sound really boring... but little, red 1" dots on white scrap paper. Really easy to see the dots through the scope, get the dots from any staples or Amazon for almost nothing, use scrap paper from work.

One of those few situations in shooting where the best solution for me is the cheapest. I hate using targets with black lines all over the place.

I use Gamo air rifles targets, they are a thick paper, with a thick black band around a 1" bull. I use them for all shooting to 200m. I bought another ten boxes about five years ago, at $7/100, when a store was clearing them out, so I should have enough for several years.

Animal crackers make a great safari for the kids (and grown-up children). Mostly I like to get the thicker cardstock paper from Staples and print out a handful of targets before hitting the club. Lots of websites offering free printable targets. As mentioned, bingo daubers from the dollar store will last forever. I like to use them with old calendars and desk blotters. Finally, if I am taking someone out for the first time, I like to finish off the shoot with one of the Champion Shoot N See Zombie targets. Great souvenir for their first experience.

Used to be fun plinking old golf balls with the 10/22's back in the day.

These days the ranges I belong to one can only use 'approved targets' and golf balls ain't on the list.

Serving on two range executives, the CFO sets restrictions on the targets that we can allow to be used on our ranges. We can't allow any targets that might allow ricochets. We do also restrict some materials, just because they leave a mess, and many shooters do not clean up after themselves.

Yes, aware of all that.

These are my favourite rimfire targets. They work awesome and were purchased from a member on here named Brobee. He started a business with his daughter during Covid. He designed them and they’re awesome!!IMG_1363.jpegIMG_1364.jpegIMG_1367.jpegIMG_1368.jpegIMG_1369.jpeg
