What’s your favorite target

They’re all AR 400-500 can’t really remember. I assume they could be shot with centerfire but they were specifically designed for rimfire. I think the impact might knock them off the specially designed feet. Also think the swinging kill zones wouldn’t work with the centerfire!! The stands tilt the target 20degrees towards the ground so there’s no ricocheting bullets.

Playing cards from dollarama are fun to shoot (paper) we also have 6”,10”,14” steel and the splatter pro targets on Amazon are a good deal in bulk on Amazon.

My mom has crab apple trees. For me, Those are the most fun to shoot. Depending on the hit they explode, shatter, bounce and roll ect. No clean up either. In the bush the woodland creatures eat what is left.

Longstud - I LOVE that your sasquatch is not really a sasquatch, rather a winter-equipped Yeti!! Your iron grouse look disturbingly un-molested....

Wow is that a complete collection of the Brobee targets? Are they rimfire only?

Ha! While some folks have gun-nut-itis so much their gun collection far outstrips their capacity to store or shoot them all, for whatever reason my affliction is target-itis....our rimfire collection keeps growing. Yes, targets Longshot and Jay talk about earlier are designed for .22lr only.

Targets we shot (at) the most this year were members of our ever-growing big-little elk herd, and we recently discovered the insanely addictive + ultra-fun Norwegian Felthurtig (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nordic_field_rapid_shooting). To give you an idea of what inspired us:

For Felthurtig we adapted the idea of the KYL swinger target to a two target side-by-side swinger, which we put one out at each of our three mounds at various distances. You square off against your arch-rival nemesis shooting partner and at the buzzer it's 1) get into position, 2) shoot till you've hit each of your three assigned swingers, and 3) dominate your opponent by beating him/her in real time. Or in my case, repeatedly get my a$$ kicked by my daughters and lovely bride.

I gave all of the grouse away other than the two shown in the pics. I’m keeping one for myself and the others been gifted. I just need to find time for a paint job lol. Some of your targets have been shot hundreds or thousands of times! Cleaned and repainted and look new again. Everyone who’s shot them has enjoyed them immensely. I took a couple to a match and they were used for a bonus stage. Well received to say the least. Cheers

i used to use shoot n see targets mainly but they get pricey so i buy one inch orange and black dots and put them on card stock or photo paper. if i’m not shooting those i really enjoy my KYL rack!

I use some paper when I'm looking to shoot for groups but I've moved slowly to replace all my regular targets on the range with steel. Mostly 3/8" ar500 for rimfire/pistol caliber/shotgun shooting.

What you all like to shoot at the range. My range only allows paper targets. So unfortunately no steel for me.

But I do have a bunch I really enjoy. When I’m on my own shooting 25 yards I really enjoy the Tac Driver challenge. When my daughter joins we love these birch wood game targets especially the race one (to make fair she shoots bench rest I shoot standing unsupported).

Generally when I’m shooting 100meters I’m shooting just for practice and groups so I like the black and white splatter pro targets.

With my .22 LR I prefer metal silhouette targets! It's fun to shoot unsupported and watch them jump when hit!
